Masw and Sasw surveys

These survey techniques of underground exploration uses spectral analysis of seismic surface waves to return stratigraphyc succession in terms of speed of propagation of shear waves

MASW ( Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves ) are active seismic surveys that in addition to providing information concerning the stratigraphic succession in terms of VS, can also be successfully used for the characterization of VS30 parameter Digital Seismographs:

- OYO McSeis SX; OYO McSeis 160; ECHO 2002 AMBROGEO;
- DAQlink n°serie 1121 SEISMIC SORURCE COMPANY; DAQlink n°serie 1131 SEISMIC SOURCE COMPANY



- geophones with 4,5 Hz frequency

The SASW surveys (Spectral Analysis of Surface Waves) are designed to define the compactness of natural soils or artificial embankments
